Pat Lawlor beat Roberto Duran. Duran threw his shoulder out and had to quit after six. Several years later, an ancient Duran beat him by decision in the rematch.
Willy Wise outhustled Julio Cesar Chavez by decision in a huge upset. He got revenge in the rematch by second round TKO.
Of course, both were old men when they lost. Danny Williams beat Mike Tyson when Tyson's knee blew out. One example of a good(not great) fighter losing to a guy in his prime was Charles "The Hatchet" Brewer getting iced in one round from an uppercut by Lonnie "Honeybee" Beasley. Beasley wasn't a bum per se, but he didn't accomplish much before or after. He was fun to watch in the ring, though. There was never a rematch but Brewer did win a title later on.
