Deeper than parts of the ocean bro, its true when you think of it though. most of our actions/thoughts are governed by a sense of time. "i need to do this by then" or "I'm x amount of years old and haven't achieved anything" etc etc
Death is a subconscious & conscious countdown because of human constructed time concepts.

No other living creature is aware of and fears death as we do. They just live and then die without worrying about the end.
