Everyone in the right damn mind knows that Canelo lost that fight. He did not come to take the title away from the champion. He just did enough in order to impress the judges by simply surviving and lasting the distance. That was his game plan all alone.

You can't beat the champion by not throwing punches, while backing up and fighting off the back foot. Then only landing them in spurts in order to not to engage, exchange or trade punches with the champion. You have to take the title from the champion and Ginger did not do that.

As someone who picked Canelo to win it really embarrasses me to see people constantly acting like sore losers. Accept that Canelo lost he didn't give us Mexican style he promised. He is no Floyd, he lost the fight right when he started to lose the center of the ring. Ring Generalship is key in boxing, in spurts Canelo was good but at the end of the day, you have to win the whole round, not just the first 30 seconds to 1 minute. Canelo did land the cleaner punches, but that doesn't mean you win the round. Essentially, everyone here is saying that GGG is missing punches. But you can't make that argument, you basically defeat yourself. In total punches, there was a 2.5% differential. 169 landed out of 505, overall Canelo missed 336 punches. Whereas Golovkin was the clear aggressor, 218 landed out of 703 but missed 485 times. Onto the next category power punches Canelo won this category by 4 punches 114/272, Golovkin 110/342 missed 9% less, but you're going to miss more when you're coming forward. Overall I can't believe that I'm even having to write this because this should be common sense. Here is why Golovkin won the match, the Jab made Canelo back up and get on his cycle. 55/233 on jabs 23.6% for Canelo
110/342 on jabs for Golovkin 29.9%. My Final point, 18/18 of the media organizations present that night had it for Golovkin. Boxing fans please just be rational, don't let emotions do the thinking analyze and actually try to see who is fighting in spurts, and who is fighting for an entire round. Because if it was Lara or Mayweather who did the exact same thing I would be criticizing them just as much. But the difference is Canelo isn't a defensive fighter, go watch his fights and find one where he is backing up for 8 rounds straight. If you can't find one then you have no argument. In the rematch, Canelo needs to work on his stamina, because that is the way to beat Golovin.

Round 3: Miss. Grazing blow. I think this was one was for Golovkin, because Canelo hit nothing at all. Not even close. Two hits.

Round 9: In that flurry only 1 hit landed. Clean hit. 1 hit.
