Any of the fights people want to see Crawford in = a fight Arum can't deliver.
Not true at all. All he needs to do is match Crawford vs Pac-Matthysse winner and then he becomes Keith Thurman's mandatory. Crawford would be the favorite vs Thurman then all of a sudden he gots two belts

WBA rules were changed years ago. World champion is no longer mandatory to super champion. Why do you think Povetkin is AJ's mandatory and not Charr?

The world champion isn't disqualified from being the mandatory. The WBA can choose to order a world champion vs super champion fight if they want to.

But the WBA rules make it very clear that winning the world title doesn't automatically make you the mandatory to the super title. Hence Charr being world champion, yet Povetkin being mandatory to the super champion.

Go read the WBA rules. The world champion used to automatically be the mandatory to the super champion. That ended a long time ago.

The regular champion can push for it like Jacobs did. If Bud were to beat Matthysse and it was pushed for the WBA would order it. There is a lot of money in that fight for them.

There are so many problems with this, but I will try to help you as long as you aren't rude.

You have to overcome a few things to get to where you want to go and even once you get there, you won't get the result you want. #1 - You have to get the WBO to approve a unification with a secondary champion, which they typically would reject. You could make the argument that for Arum, they'll do it anyway, and that's possible. Which leads to #2, which is the WBA world champion not necessarily being the mandatory. Arum has little to no sway with the WBA while Haymon has a ton. Even if you overcome that.

                  That leads us to:

75/25 split in Thurman's favor in a purse bid.

Good luck getting Arum to go for that.

Never going to happen. The whole scenario is dream world stuff that will never happen. Arum is content hiding behind the WBO.

If pacquiao wins then arum needs to pony up the necessary money to make crawford-pacquiao. That would finally give bud the opportunity to become a legitimate star.

Meanwhile, arum should make benavides-Alvarado followed by benavides-horn. That gives benavides the chance to make a name for himself, and build towards a crawford-benavides showdown. Would be a big fight due to the legitimate animosity between both fighters
