  • [HOLY S**T!] Samsung bendy phones to go on sale next year.

SAMSUNG looks set to become the first tech firm to start selling bendy mobile phones from next year.

These pictures show just how the unbreakable handsets - which can be twisted or folded and put in your pocket - will look when they hit stores.

The South Korean firm are reportedly on the verge of rolling out mass production of the devices after years of speculation.

Boffins have made the phones possibly using organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), which are super thin and can be attached to flexible materials such as the phones’ plastic screens.

The change from glass screens will also make the devices lighter, more durable and cheaper to manufacture.

Samsung first revealed these designs last year yet still haven’t announced a release date.

But now sources within the firm have revealed to the Wall Street Journal that the flexible phones should be on shelves in the first half of 2013.

Mobile phone expert Vinita Jakhanwal, of IHS Electronics and Media, told Tech News World: “Flexible AMOLEDs can help Samsung differentiate its products in a smartphone market where most products offer similar products and functionality.”
