actually if you want to get technical , pacquiao has fought much bigger guys than armstrong did.

clottey , delahoya and cotto are bigger than ceferino garcia who was the middleweight champion armstrong challenged.

different eras.

back then people didn't cut weight like they do now.

guys like cotto , marg and clottey might fight at 147 but in 147 fights they'd come in 160-170.

in armstrong's era , if you fight a welterweight he weighs around 140-145 lbs. , middleweight 150-155 lbs. and so on.
