  • [LMAO!] Don Kings a mysterious charecter

Having worked in sales for years in the past, he's pulling some high level subliminal stuff in this interview, I wonder if any other former salesmen can pick up on his techniques here..

He's a professional bull****ter and a snake. He is great at giving big speeches and telling people what you want they hear and seems like he could talk anyone into anything. In the book Only in America: The Life and Crimes of Don King, Larry Holmes said he could talk a rattlesnake out of biting him.

Watched the interview, can you explain more in detail what he is doing?

        Subtle isnt he.

I like how Conan was taking the piss out of the Tyson fight. (another overhyped bs matchup)

That video and portion of King (where he was faking playing the piano) with Wlad & Vitaly in the Klitschko documentary was pretty wild.

Good thing they were smart enough to not sign the contract or else Don would've owned them.

I was going to say the exact same thing word for word.

Hmm, good seller or not. Red flags go off in my head whenever I hear someone who can really talk the talk. I can always tell shadiness.

it's called the j.o.n.e.s theory, he's dominating this conversation with it, everytime Conan takes a swipe at him, instead of responding naturally with defense & negativeity, literally he throws some random completely off topic response to change the subject & control the conversations direction. Also he's using the famous crowd tactic(WWE use it alot) when he talks about the Irish & 'great audience', this gets the audience on his side & again will prevent Conan from attacking the fact that Mcneeley is infact a punching bag. When you can keep the conversation light & positive you can always sell a product better, this a natural human reaction to be attracted to positivity, a perfect example is when Conan calls him out on plugging showtime during their intimate story, literally Don's next response is to change subject as quickly as possible to keep the conversation positive & keep the crowd going.

I can tell this fella has been exposed to door to door selling at some point in his life

No, he's a sociopath. Stuff like that just occurs naturally to them.

Don King is arguably the greatest salesman in American history, which is saying something. Fighters, promoters, casino managers, network executives, they all went into meetings with King knowing exactly what he was, and he got them all anyway.

He probably is just a sociopath though, I doubt anyone ever had to teach him anything. He was born to it.
