Pretty good. The fact that he beat SRR speaks volumes but SRR was coming off a lot of activity and just finishing up his fight tour then lost. It was not a prime Ray Robinson.


No he isn't even a top 25 Middleweight, the division is incredibly deep.

Top 50 MW!

He was a very solid MW, had good Power, definitely worth being ranked top 10 in most Era's, but no better than top 50 all-time.

I don't know about Britains best MW, I like Herol Graham, as Britain's best, I would take him to win a decision over Turpin, but would be a good fight.

Turpin and Arthur Howard, were 1 and 2 in the UK when he beat Robinson, who to be fair, was on the turn. Turpin was good but imo, Aussie mw, Dave Sands was far better..
