I think Hatton has a slight edge on the cards late but fades and gets stopped.

For as little as he fought there the combination of power, speed, and skills looked like Mayweather's best weight. Same result IMO.

            It was talked about.

Hatton's trainer said Hatton wasnt ready yet.

THats why it never happened at 140. Floyd moved to 147 for the lineal.

I think 140 was both of their best weights....they were bona fide beasts there.....Floyd still stops em late....hatton would be throwing more, @ 140 Floyd had defense and snap, beautiful combos n counters....hatton didn't have the power to ko Floyd which is the only way I saw anyone beating Floyd 140 n under

What if Floyd moved down to 140 in 2007?
Floyd SR and his fans still say that he can make 140. So he could have done that in 2007.

Floyd had trouble at 147 against Hatton so I can see him having a lot more trouble at 140 against Hatton's style. Hatton couldn't be Hatton at 147. Opponents are too big and therefore Hatton tires after time.

Floyd was usually under 150 on fight night. Of course he could make 140, he would only have to drain like 8 pounds. Thats nothing.

FLoyd was lineal at 147 and Hatton at 140. One was going to fight for the others lineal belt either way. Floyd was the bigger star, called the shots. People ***** about Hatton having to fight at 147, but what did he get out of it? He got a shot at the lineal title and got to keep his lineal title at 140 when he lost. He also didnt have to drain to 140, which by his own admission was the whole reason he went to 147 the first time because 140 was such a struggle to make. Hatton weighed more on fight night than floyd, whether it was at 140 or 147. He got a shot at the lineal 147 title and lost, oh ****ing well

"..... but at least he got a shot at the title"

Doesn't that line get old after a while? Would you not have liked a better version of Hatton take on Floyd instead one that is at a disadvantage and people will constantly let you know about it?

Happened with Canelo, Maidana, Marquez, Hatton, ....

Anyways, it was just a question just like the TS had a fantasy type question. We will never know. We can just speculate.

Massive Money May fan here, but Hatton would likely maul him and even potentially stop him late.
