Cotto wasn't even a real MW himself he was 155 vs Martinez, 153 vs Geale, 153 vs Canelo, and Canelo made 154 vs Smith. Canelo himself has fought in 3 separate weight classes, ggg absolutely REFUSES to move up or down for that matter.

I didn't even respect Canelo until he moved up to 160, he had to move up and he did, his 1st ever fight coming against the MW champion. ggg would never take that risk.

By age 28 Ward was already had Abraham, Kessler, Froch, Miranda on his resume.
