[PLEASE HELP] How come Puerto Ricans and Domincans get along with blacks but Mexicans don't?

In New York it seems like Ricans and Domincans seem to mesh very well with the black community, but in California Mexicans and blacks seem to be at eachother's throats and there's alot of tension. Why is this?

Mexicans by nature are a close group of people when you compare them to Puerto Ricans and Dominicans.

It doesn't mean that all Mexicans are racist or don't like blacks. There are many Afro-Mexicans living in Mexico and it's a part of Mexican culture.

It's just that in NYC, it's more mixed where as in LA it's more segregated.

I have no problem with people of any race, color or creed.

Africans have always lived in Mexico, since the beginning of the conquest of Mexico there were Africans that traveled with the Spaniards.

It may not be as prevalent as in the Caribbean because of the size of Mexico and the unwillingness of the natives to mix but it's there and a part of Mexico's culture most don't know about.
