  • They've done a good job of convincing people this will be a competitive fight.

Fact 1. Ruiz is the better boxer. The better boxer is still the better fighter in the rematch.

Fact 2: You can't learn a whole new style of fighting in one camp and successfully implement it fully in your first fight

Fact 3: AJ had a concussion in round 3. He continued taking a beating for 4 more rounds. If this were the NFL he would've been pulled after round 3 and been out until he completed concussion protocol. There is no set time to return. AJ took a beating for 4 rds after the initial concussion. We don't know what type of protocol he's undergone. It's ignored and nobody really asks. When McCracken said he allowed AJ to fight with a concussion from Rd 3 on the guy from Headway made a big deal of it and McCracken walked back his comments.

Sure, let's just accept all three Facts for a moment. Even if Ruiz knocks out AJ in the first 5 or 6 rounds, I think most people expect the fight to be competitive and interesting. Certainly I do.

In short, somebody is gone get their ass whupped.

The first one wasn't competitive and this one will be even less competitive.

              1) if ruiz was the better boxer, he'd have dominated before aj's MISTAKE in the third round after knocking down ruiz. aj could have done a lennox and stayed down tpp btw...then people would say aj made a mistake, rather than 'ruiz is more skilled'. in fact aj won a few rounds after the 3rd..despite being in that state.
              2) he doesnt need to learn anything new other than to proceed with a bit more caution this time.
              3) perhaps you're right on this one...but aj's done his sparring..im sure he'd know if that was the case.

Fact #1 is ******ed, especially coming from a Wilder fan. Ortiz was the better boxer, Fury is the better boxer compared to Wilder.

                  1. What mistake in the 3rd Rd? AJ went for the kill after the knockdown and landed a huge right hand that Andy are

                  2. AJ and his team are the ones talking about learning a new fighting style

                  3. We don't know what has been going on in sparring. The stories we've heard is he's been getting beat up.
