Just a fan of wanting to see a resurgence in the Heavyweight division with competition, depth and talent. It would be a big boost for boxing and help elevate boxing.

But with the way this fight turned out, meh. Parker is just looking like a paper title holder now rather than a serious contender to Joshua or Wilder. But hopefully some other contenders will rise like Luis Ortiz, Jarrell Miller, etc....

But we can look at the computerized rankings of the IBO to get a sense for where someone truly stands worldwide. Parker's opponent is the 79th best heavyweight in the world according to the unbiased computerized rankings.

Please find me a recent example of a heavyweight ranked that poorly getting a shot at the WBC, super WBA or IBF world heavyweight title? You can't.

Of the last two WBO "world" heavyweight title fights, one was shown on tape delay in America and the other was not shown at all. The weigh in wasn't even covered by the press services. It's a wBOGUS championship and boxing would be a lot better off if fans revolted against the WBO so we could return back to three champions per division, which resulted in undisputed champions far more often.

I don't have a problem with 4 title belts. Anything more than that would be too much. The problem people have is the way the bodies conduct themselves in making it hard to have an undisputed champion. It was difficult at times when there were 3 also. Remember it started with the WBA first, and very quickly after the WBC came into the picture, then the IBF in the early 80's and then recently in the mid 2000's the WBO came in to the picture. WBO actually derived from the WBA.

4 is fine as long as the champs can fight each other with out issue. But this is boxing and they want their money. In an ideal world I would prefer just 1 champion. The way it's supposed to be. But now you've got these organizations creating belts within their own organization, Super Champ, Regular Champ, Interim Champ, etc....it's ridiculous, it's all about extortion and getting that money. All the organizations are bogus. To think otherwise is rubbish.

You do know why there was a tape delay for Parker vs Ruiz right? New Zealand is like 16 hours ahead of U.S. time or something to that effect. I've seen Cotto, Canelo and other stars fight for the WBO belt and it being on HBO prime time or just prime time in general. The WBO belt has nothing to do with a tape delay on fights or why fights aren't shown. We've seen many stars on TV and cable fight for the WBO belt in prime time or any time. And it's the same for all of the sanctioning bodies. But in any event..........
Lol, all of the orginazations are bogus bro. WBA, WBO, IBF, WBC. They're all patterned after each other. The fact of the matter is that there are 4 recognized sanctioning bodies. Ring Magazine, ESPN and Boxrec have more legit rankings than the 4 sanctioning bodies.
But ok, so we agree to disagree. I'm good with that.
Let's just leave it at that. We can agree to disagree on this matter.
