I've seen about six Mansour fights in the past, he seemed to have more wrinkles in his game against lesser opposition but against Cunningham it's like he turned into a some sort of crude slugger for a lot of the fight. He abandoned his jab from early on, for the most part, and just threw lots of wild and wide punches, missing the target very often.
Perhaps Mansour got caught up in his own hype thinking he could just power his way through Cunningham easily. Even his trainer was interviewed during the fight and said that Mansour would definitely get the KO and the fight won't go the distance - it's as if they had only trained to KO the opponent, instead of having backup plans in the event that the KO option was looking unlikely.
Anyway, is Mansour just a crude slugger at world level, was it just a bad game plan/strategy or did he get caught up in the moment making basic mistakes like abandoning the jab?
