I've been wanting to watch something where the european conquest in africa was the main subject or at least part of the plot

Based on 1st episode some British noble men wanting to buy/grab his land that he inherited from his father but he doesn't want to sell it. The land is valuable coz it's in the middle of a trade route.

His father got poisoned coz he won't sell. They will also try to kill him as well.

There are also some side stories happening
