Says as much about the paucity of talent that Ronaldo is the second best player in the world. In fact, if Messi has any claims of being the greatest player of all time, he shouldn't even be being compared to someone who won't even crack top 50.

As for this ******ed discussion. I guess it's been a few months since Messi proved for what, the 29th time who the better player is. I guess that's enough time for people to get amnesia again.

I've got Messi, Iniesta, Xavi. And then....

I'm genuinely struggling to think of any genuine bona fide world class players - the kind you would say are going down as ATGs.

Ronaldo is one - more for his stats and hype (although I did love the skinny version at Utd who could actually dribble and do things besides pot-shotting all game).

I know I keep repeating myself but there's a massive paucity of talent in football right now.

I'm from the generation who was around when Serie A was a ****ing powerhouse. Such an incredible amount of talent in one league.

Now talent is concentrated in a few teams.
