Gary ď will not call a grown man spike ď Oí Sullivan, he was offered good money to fight GGG, Gary is not even a B side fighter, maybe a C fighter at best , and he turned it down than made up a story that the money was not enough to fight for a world title. Now Gary will be the main event fighter at the local Carnival when it comes to town

Meanwhile in REALITY Joshua can make almost 50 Million in TWO fights yet you want to TRY and debate me on whos walking away from a high payday ?

Take less than $50 mil, if it wasn't obvious to you.

So you admit it wasn't really about the titles for Wilder, it's about the money.

Case close.

Both sides need to take somewhat less than they think they deserve or often no deal is reached and the big fight never happens.
We rarely agree on much but you nailed this.

And incidently, Pac wasn't a duck for turning down the 40 million, but he could have been seen as avoiding things when no counter offer was given. But, I wont argue that because it can be interpreted other ways.

Folks just want to ignore that 50 million was far and away Joshua's biggest payday- and if you believe Frank Warren, it was 80 million.

Is he really welling to take less than $50M when they offer a flat rate? They could've offered Wilder a guarantee of $15 with an upside like Wilder team offered

I hope you are not that gullible it's always about the money

It wasn't always about the money when Tyson, DLH, Pac, May, were B sides.

Not the same case.

GGG already fought Canelo once and many said he won the fight. Not to mention Alvarez getting caught in a web of peds accusations, which supposedly decreased his stock. So Golovkin had every right to demand more than he got from the first fight. Problem was Canelo probably wanted none of the rematch or any part of GGG any further. They could have moved on and make more money without GGG. So demanding 50/50 was basically stupid for an opponent who wasn't really that interested.

That should only apply in cases where one fighter is feared or avoided. In which case the feared one should be willing to take less to make fights happen for him. GGG vs Jacobs took about a year to make and Jacobs got what he wanted because GGG made some adjustments.

No one avoids or fears Wilder or Joshua, so far as I know.

Also no one knows how huge this fight will be. It's subjective.

True. He started off yelling he can beat Joshua and wants his belts. Overtime, his confidence waned and uncertainty started to creep in. Therefore, he must squeeze every penny he can get from the fight as if it's his last fight. Meaning, the fight has become very difficult to make. He said no to every offer Hearn gave him.
