Sprinting builds upper body muscle?

    Intensity Factor

    Sprinting will build bigger leg muscles than slow jogging becasue of the much higher intensity. But unless you are a genetic standout, I don't think it will do a heck of a lot in regards to building upper body muscles. The old time bodybuilding trainer Vince Gironda claimed that running shrunk most people's arms. In hardgainers and people with fast metabolisms, I think it true.

      that, in my opinion, answers the OP to the largest degree
      these guys are physically gifted, and it shows in their upper bodies as well as their legs (what they actually use to compete)
      either that....AND/OR world class sprinters have massive ego's and they're in the gym or running all the time.

      im sure they do plenty of upper body work...
