The big issue here is that the NSAC is allowing this (official) fight from happening - while it is a total mismatch. I remember two years a go, the reasons NSAC had for not allowing the fight between Ward and Murdoc to happen was exactly that: mismatch (note: Murdoc had a record of 18-1-0 at that time). But somehow those rules dont apply for #maycon. When Floyd is at 49-0-0 and McGregor is at 0-0-0. wtf!

I get it from Connor's side. He has little to lose. In fact, he got a lot to win. He has been carrying the ufc for quite some time, yet has never been truly rewarded for being the face of the UFC. That organisation is apparently worth $4B however that money has unfortunately not been flowing to the real stars of the game. So he gets an opportunity to get financially rewarded in an exhibition fight, with little damage. Of course he takes it.

I however do not get it from the self proclaimed "TBE". If you want to leave a legacy, you do not end your career like this. The definition of "leaving a legacy" is anything but this. Yes I get it. It's again an easy fight to take. Great money. But that record don't mean siht if you achieved it by going at it against a rookie. I would not have a problem with this fight on an exhibition level - although I still would not watch it.

Remember Ali against Inoki. It was a exhibition fight. The result? The fight was poorly received. The crowd threw rubbish into the ring and chanted "Money back! Money back!". Apparently it took the janitorial people of the Arena almost a full day to clean up the garbage that was hurled at the two 'combatants' as the result of their lousy performance. Similar will happen come August 26.
My thoughts exactly. The NSAC hasn't been very consistent for a while now. And this is coming from a Mayweather fan. I agree, as everybody, that it's a major business deal. VERY LITTLE RISK, HUGE REWARD.

The problem is that it's not an exhibition match, it's a fully sanctioned match. That means that McGregor will go in as a LEGITIMATE opponent for Floyd, however asinine that sounds.

And I get it that people are saying, "Well, it can't be that one-sided. McGregor's got some boxing skills. There's overlap between the two sports."

But he isn't fighting a tune-up, or a gatekeeper, or a paper champion, or an established champion...he's fighting MAYWEATHER.

And the NSAC has given this the green light despite Conor having ZERO experience in a professional boxing arena.

In the unlikelihood that something grim were to happen (hope not). Let's say that Conor's gassed and getting lit up by Floyd and he's still standing by round 8 and by now he's taken multiple clean, head-snapping punches...and then it happens, something that the referee, doctor, or corner can't step in before it happens because it happens unexpectedly; Conor lunges in sloppily, winded, hurt, gets caught with a counter laser right and goes down like a sack of potatoes. And through some misfortune, he gets concussed and some major life-altering consequence takes place. The NSAC would be more guilty than the doctor/referee/corner for allowing it to happen.

Bottom line: Money talks. There is too much money at stake for them not to allow this to happen.

          Great post.

If you are a NSAC member and you voted not to sanction this you'd lose your job because, like it or not, this "event" is going to make a ton of revenue for the fighters, casinos, tourist spots, hotels, hookers, drug dealers, stores. etc. etc.

You are experienced as a fluffer before snuff films like the 1 your daddy floydies starring in. You claim that you talk truth yet here u are hypocritically dîckriding yet talk shît daily on other fighters. Yet u supposedly talk truth, your a pathetic FÀGGOT who has NEVER said anything truthful or of experience in your life. All u do is act like a hypocrit flômo then get angry when someone pulls up your skirt & exposes your pûssy.

This fight is going to fall far short of ppv expectations. Why?...because nobody is taking this match seriously.

Whoever is guaranteeing the fighters their money is going to take a hell of a hit.

We'll agree to disagree! I've never heard Dana White asking for a boycott of one of GBP's promotions!

Dana white is just as much a pathetic gimp as fishnets is,& he has said for yrs what a joke mismatch his own event is. Why aren't you calling him a hypocrit like dlh? Oh right flômo bias like so many on this site. You clown cokehead 4 doing what cokeheads do,talking out his ass yet what all you flômos excuse? After all when cokehead said it,you all clowned & talked shît(as did I) & youve clowned many other fighters for way less offenses than this abomination. Yet here u are trying to make this about dlh being a hypocrit, rather than floydie being a disgrace to boxing.
