    Ivan Calderon.

Great little pure boxer with no punch, who was a midget even at the lowest weights, always against guys much bigger than him.

Beautiful boxing, defense, timing, ring control.

Its a shame he never got the recognition p4p he deserved during his time.

One of the best ever at hitting you when you are not ready to be hit and throwing you wildly off balance.

A pure boxer is a fighter that hits and doesn't get hit, a fighter that outlands his opponent by a big margain and takes way less punches in return.

A pure boxer is simply someone who fights at long range. It's just an outside fighter, we call them "boxers" and take away from brawlers(punchers/sluggers) or swarmers(inside/pressure fighters) like it's not boxing, but it is, it's all boxing.

I dunno if you're the guy that started this thread but that's your definition of what a pure boxer is, essentially you are describing a defensive counter puncher, like Ali, Whitaker, Pep but there is no one in their right minds who would not refer to SRL, Hagler, Robinson as a pure boxer OR someone at the very top of their game, which is what a lot of the people in this thread are talking about.

There's a very obvious agenda here, trying to get us to name specific defensive counter punchers, namely one guy lol But the TS and people like you with this definition fall on their own sword, because your definition leaves out some of the greatest names in boxing EVER.

The reality is this, boxing, like any martial arts, has several different styles, none better than the other except for in the hands of the best executioners of that style. The offensive style has never been more excellent than in the hands of guys like Robinson, Leonard, Hearns and Pacquiao. The art of defense never as pristine as in the hands of a young Ali, or Pep or Whitaker.

Of course, all these names could also attack or defend and play against type, it's what made them so great. That is a pure boxer, someone who can do it all, punch, counter punch, not get hit, get hit and take a punch, fight on the front foot and stand back and be cool under attack.
