Your best bet might be to go with the dog daycare thing and rent out a cheaper apartment that's closer. You should always be close to the work site so you can check on the progress as needed.

If your dogs get separation anxiety just go visit them whenever.

The big issue is that we have 2 dogs (1 big and 1 small) and most apartments won't take dogs over 30 lbs. There is one apartment that takes larger dogs but it's far and really expensive.

We've also looked into renting a house but most places require you rent for at least 1 year or more.

Another option we've considered is renting out a motor home/RV and parking it in front of our house and just live in there, but I imagine this would be a very stressful living situation with 3 people and 2 dogs.

The final option is renting a regular apartment and dropping off the dogs at one of those doggy daycare places that white people use when they go on vacation. The issue here is that the cost of both the apartment and the dog daycare might end up being more than going to an apartment that allows dogs at a higher price. Plus the dogs get really bad separation anxiety and depression, but I don't really care about that TBH.

Are there any other options to consider?

          Should be try AirBnB maybe?

And before anyone asks, no we don't have family or friends that could take care of the dogs or that can house us.

There's only 1 bathroom and the kitchen will be heavily remodeled too so a lot of major rooms will be inaccessible

just rent an apartment and sneak your dog in. problem solved.

even if you get caught they have to give you like 2 weeks to move out by that time your home is ready. what you care about your renters historys etc.
