Let’s look forward to their next fights. AJ against a dangerous, former HW champion, Olympic gold medalist that has only lost once to the best HW fighter in this era...

...And Wilder vs the best quarterback in college football circa 2006.

    That says it all...
Anthony Joshua will fight in front of maybe 10000 viewers in the US, and basically make the same money that he's made for his last 4 fights, sans Klitschko.

Will wait on the formal announcement, but don't be shocked if you end up hearing Deontay Wilder's next fight being pared with a break in the college football schedule for primetime CBS.

Because, without Wilder, Joshua is going to be on the same $20m a fight for the rest of his run, while Deontay Wilder can grow into the $30m-$40m that can be had in the US of he keeps winning.
      You’re serious aren’t you? That’s terrifying.

Just look at the global brand AJ has become without Wilder, and prior to any talk of Wilder.

Wilder has been desperately mentioning AJ at every turn to raise his profile. Without AJ, he’s nothing.

Anthony Joshua isn't a global brand, though. He's a UK brand, and he may actually be a European brand at this point, but his US interest is nowhere near where you seem to think it is, and the press conference kinda shows that.

Say, what you want; Deontay Wilder fights in the market that makes fighters rich. Floyd, Oscar, Cotto, Pacquiao, Lennox, Hatton, Tyson, Holyfield, etc were all launched in the US.

Wilder isn't there now, but he's a heavyweight fighter who flattens everyone he's been in with, and generating $40m on a fight isn't unheard of in the US.

Deontay Wilder is basically two fights away from simply staging his own PPV. It'll take a few events, but if he keeps knocking everyone out, he'll be over 400k homes in short order.

Once the Deontay Wilder Show gets going, Floyd has shown everyone that drawing $40m in the US isn't some impossibility.
