Default Panama Al Brown - 5'11 bantamweight, 76" reach. WTF?

Damn, that sounds impossible.

Image View Removed. Please Click Here.

Alfonso Teofilo Brown was born in Colon, Panama on July 5, 1902. In his youth, he was employed as a clerk with the United States Shipping Board in the Canal Zone. There he observed boxing matches between U. S. military personnel. Deciding to give it a try himself, he had a highly successful amateur career. He was tall and thin, standing 5' 11' and weighing only 112 to 126 lbs. Known as the "Elongated Panamanian," he had an amazing reach of 76 inches and surprising punching power.
Anyways I was reading about him ([Link View Has Been Removed. Click Here To Unlock This Content.]) lately and thought to myself how the **** could it be possible to be so tall and skinny (and a great fighter)?

Found some youtube videos in case anyone cares:

If Im not mistaken Kid Akeem Afinwoshe was 5'9" or 5'10" at 115lbs. If any of you haven't seen his tragic fight with Robert Quiroga from 1991 or 92, check it out. Great, great fight. This kid was on the fast track to stardom.
