It was a ballsy move by Wilder and could've backfired. But I think in his mind he knew it was far more likely that the fight wasn't going to the scorecards.

Wilder's main gameplan is to go for the knockout. Usyk's is to outbox and go for points.

Wilder deserves credit for what he was going through with for the Povetkin fight. Whether or not it was a smart idea is something we'll never know.
