It's that Kovalev has 0 inside game. I mean 0. he has no close range hooks to the body. Or head. he has to step back to reset when the opponent is too close.

this is going to be exploited even more this time around.
Ward got that tackling game. Come in low and grab your opponent by the waist and hang on. Inside game. So smoove. It's what you came to see. Real boxing.

correct. this fight is even more dictated by Ward's team than the last time around. so you are going to see Ward's refs and judges again.

Just like Holyfield came in low with his head and his greco roman clinch game. it's going to frustrate the crap out of Kovalev.

No to mention his punch output isn't exactly prodigious. This would be more like a theoretical Maidana v Broner 2, except the right guy won the first fight in that case.

The case for Ward being like Broner is: Low output, clinchy, inflated sense of self worth, and some people (wrongly) compare him to Floyd. Though, Ward is better than Broner

This will be more like Hopkins/Taylor 2. It will be the same fight with same results with both sides thinking their guy won.

similar to Pacman Bradley II.. first fight the whole world knew Kovalev/Pacman won and they still gave it to the American, this time justice will be served.

Kovalev' ribs are getting prepped. Ward knows exactly what to do this time around!!

I would be really surprised if Ward loses this one, he knows Kovalev now.

Yeah it's just like it except Ward is not half the fighter Floyd was and Kovalev is actually an elite fighter unlike Maidana.

so we should prepare ourselves for a non stop clinch fest? this is why the fight is pointless. we already know thats the only way ward can "win" he simply can't box with kovalev as we saw in teh first fight so he's going to hold and bend below the waist a lot more than he did in the first fight. cool? and of course after the fight ward fans will pretend that it never happened. said the same thing in the first fight and they actually are pretending now that it was kov initiating the clinhes. i then proved them wrong by posting a ton of pics of ward holding but it still didnt matter.
