it's one of the best in boxing. froch and kessler both went on to have meaningful wins after the ward fight. they're his two best wins.

dawson was an asskicking and a solid win, but he was drained, and it's also apparent that he's at the end of the road.

Dawson was drained. That was bad. He made his bed and slept on it though.

Ward's resume it top notch.... Alot of people complain about his inactivity but dude took time off after super 6, cant blame him he just fought a series of tough fights over a 2 year period,, came back and destroyed chad dawson in another big fight,, Was scheduled to fight pavlik in january but got hurt,,,, Its not like he is doing a floyd and just sitting on the sidelines in "retirement"

Mares and manny are the only guys in recent years to have close to the resume of ward's

He is only at the end of the road because ward scrambled his brains,,, Dawson was just coming off a huge win over hopkins,, he didnt look done in that fight,, Ward just put on a severe beating on him, and dawson will never be the same

Manny??? Manny's had 1 good win since Clottey, what should have been a win over Bradley.

C'mon man. It's not like they fought at a reasonable CW like Pacquiao-Cotto or even Floyd-Canelo, they didn't fight at 172 or anything. Dawson had to get all the way down to 168, a place he hadn't been in 6 years. I know Dawson said he could do it, but it doesn't change the fact that Ward could have agreed to a CW or just gone up to 175. Dawson was drained pretty bad.

It's an excellent resume. He pretty much cleaned out his division and then beat the guy who at the time was considered the best in the division above his.

Yes the weight was a huge factor,, Im just saying he wasnt done going into the fight,, but now after the weight drained beating he is done at the elite level, hence why stevenson blew him out in a minute.

Manny should have beaten undefeated bradley, fought jmm, fighting rios, before bradley he beat jmm, shane ,margs, clottey, etc If going by straight up wins, then yes manny isnt near mares and ward,,, but manny is always fighting a top guy,, no easy fights,, hell his tuneup is vs rios...

Yes dawson was drained but he did call out ward and said he would go to that weight,, backfired on him, and his career will never be the same after that beating... even if the fight was at 175, ward beats him

Excellent resume to this point, but he needs to get back in the ring. I'm not a fan of long layoffs for any fighter.
