Many publications have Ward #1 because he's undefeated and holds three world championships. Nobody is saying Ward isn't deserving of a high ranking. What I'm saying is that the Ring isn't the bible of anything anymore. It's a blatant propaganda tool and isn't deserving of any credibility whatsoever.

If other publications have Ward #1, like TBRB, then quote TBRB instead of Ring. TBRB has some credibility. Ring has none.

Why would Golden Boy have Ward number 1 when he doesn't even fight under their banner?

Because Golden Boy uses the Ring to stay in the good graces of HBO. If you fight for HBO, you are treated well. If you fight for Haymon, you are treated unfairly.
