Of course the US has a big population and quite a few million people will vote this year. We'll find out next tuesday whether the American people really fell for that or not.

I don't think most really care. I mean they hear Obama is promising to give them a tax break. What most forget is the Democrats will let the Bush Tax cut expire in 2010. And that will be a tax increase for the middle class. Most people don't know that Obama has the most liberal voting record in the senate. Even more so that the admitted socialist Bernie Sanders.

I know he says he's going to give us tax breaks, but in reality no president really gives you what they promised. Hardly any of them. That's not the main reason I voted for him (early voted already). To me the last eight years haven't turned out good and it was under Bush's watch and like I said he basically bankrupted the GOP on their ideas and even though McCain says he not Bush now, I feel it won't be much different and that just hasn't worked. So the GOP knowing it's going to be tough for them to win on the issues have resorted to character assisinations and scare words like Socialist and Marxist.

Honestly, the Democrats are going to probably have the super majority anyways. If that's the case McCain will be a lame duck anyways. Democrats have had the house and senate the last two years to do something, anything they promised. But they didn't. They just sat up there tightening the noose on Bush until election time. Look at what happened with the bailout. Pelowski told the democrats under her that were up for re-election not to vote for the bailout. Then blamed Republicans when it didn't pass at first. Its **** like that shows to me, they only care about keeping power, as their first priority.
With Bush's approval rating this low. (not as low as congress') It should be a landslide victory for the Dem ticket. Most experts believe Obama should have at least 20 pt lead at this point. I honestly do think the spread the wealth comment and his inexperience will make this a close race.
The last time we had a super majority in the senate and a Democrat prez, was the wonderful times of Jimmy Carter.

The title of that story says Iraq and Afghanistan war. Which would really be two wars. Or One war on two fronts, how ever you want to look at it. Not the Iraq war.
