that with his fight last night, Pacquiao not only became the latest member of the "25 consecutive years club"...

he also became the FIRST man to engage in world title fights when in his teens, his 20s, his 30s and his 40s!

And if he has another title bout next year, he will be the only boxer, who can claim to have fought for a world crown in 4 different decades!

I have a feeling, those last 2 records will be hard to emulate!

--- Interesting stat, but he already holds the record for the Ring p4p most fights, most wins, most KOs, and most consecutive longevity, and nobody even close in any category.

Dunno where he'll be next, but he could very well win another full belt or even Whoop a Super!

Issue is that all of this became much easier with all the multiple paper titles. Years ago fighting a contender was just fighting a contender. Today fighting a contender may mean a championship paper title bout. It’s comparing apples and oranges.

Yes, you're right of course... with the multiple "world" titles today, we can't really compare this with the old days.

However, champion or not, being active 25 years in a row, is a pretty rare thing.

And even if we don't recognize any of the titles he has fought for, I can't think of anyone else who reached world class as early as a teenager... and was still world class in his 40s. That's pretty remarkable, imo.
