It was total arrogance not to switch the republican candidate once Moore got exposed for being a pedophile.

After the 2010 midterms the Republicans won big in state legislatures and governorships. That was also when it was time to redistrict again, every 10 years after the census. Republican legislatures and governors did the majority of redistricting and gerrymandered it so they'll have a majority in the house for at least 10 years. It happened when I lived in Michigan and two democrats districts were combined and they had to run against each other.

There won't by any massacre, there are atleast 5 vulnerable Democrat Senators coming up in 2018. Projections have Republicans retaining the Senate, however, losing the House.

What happened in Alabama was an anomaly strictly due to Moore's reprehensible past.

Luther Strange was the opponent Moore beat in the primarys.

This is what I'm talking about when it comes to the house. They've gerrymandered it to the point the Republicans can't lose the majority in the house
