  • Will Deontay Wilder Retire With the Best Heavyweight Knockout Ratio?

If he knocks out Ortiz(not a foregone conclusion by any means), then he will be 40-0(39). I think Earnie Shavers is pretty close to that and Vitali Klitschko is close, too, but if he knocked out Joshua and a few others and called it a day at 45-0(44), along with possibly ten defenses, that will definitely be remembered and respected. HOF even maybe?

If he does all of those things he would be in the hall of fame and respected as an all time great. Right now AJ has a higher percentage of KOs with 100% to Wilder's high 90%.

This is true, but I wonder if he'll still be there at forty fights. If so, he damn sure gets in the HOF I would think. Of course, this is supposing a LOT.

Deontay Wilder is already on the journey to becoming the greatest heavyweight of all time. He has proven to be the most special heavyweight of all time with combined attributes never seen before in the sport of boxing, not just in the heavyweight division but boxing in general. THAT IS, AS IT CURRENTLY STANDS!

Meanwhile, he is only going to improve his accolades and accomplishments as times passes. The dude isn't going to lose to anybody any more until he is close to 40. If he would've, he would've lost already by now but that's not the case.

So Deontay Wilder is semi - unbeatable and invincible. His punching power makes all these other heavyweights look like feather fists (including Anthony Joshua).

Probably because he's really only taken one real risk in his career thus far, and that turned out to be against a fat punching bag in Stiverne.

He has the worst resume of any fighter in boxing right now with 30+ fights.

            Downright terrible.

Yes, this is purely about numbers, mane.

"Cheek Busting" has to be title of the year, btw.

In a hilarious coincidence, both come from Alabama as well.

Here are the wins and losses of the opponents from his championship bouts:

                    24-1, 23-2, 32-3, 20-1, 36-4, 18-0, 25-2, 28-0

You really think that qualifies as bums?
