            And certainly not "literally".

First off; he said he's leaving the Democrat Party, not the country. He called out a political party, not our country.

Do you always equate party with country? You do realize that's fascism/nationalism, don't you?

Or are you twisting his words because, well, you tell us why you're twisting his words.....

While I do find it amusing when a decent classical liberal gets smacked in the face about what modern American liberalism really is, what you said isn't the case with Dershowitz.

He's been calling out the Democrats/liberals for awhile now, and not just when they attack Jews:

Dershowitz said that his loyalty to his country is causing him to leave the Democratic Party.

Then he explained it further by crying about anti-Semitism.

So in effect he is saying that if someone speaks out against a Jewish agenda (which is what Ellison has done) then that is un-American.

I vehemently disagree with that premise.

Bummer, I was hoping Farrakhan's buddy Keith X would win. Perez appointed him deputy DNC chair.

Correct, but you must concede he also discussed his stance is based on his religion, and what Ellison has said about said religion. You do, right?

Crying or not, he cited it, thus proving it.

Now you've gone off the tracks and twisted words. When you start a sentence by saying "So in effect he is saying" instead of a direct quote, it's pretty obvious.

But that is moot, as shown above Mr Dershowitz did not state that premise, much less advocate it.

You have to quote Mr Dershowitz verbatim, not say 'here is what I say he really said'.

Dershowitz has a vested interest in pro-Israel policies.

Other people who are loyal to America don't necessarily have to agree with him.

If that's why he's leaving the party then good riddance.
