The way he was outmuscling Horn who is easily a natural light middleweight makes me wonder if he could make the move to 160 lbs in say 3-4 years and become a champion. I can see Spence making the move there eventually but perhaps Bud is too small.

Your momma could be a 5 division champ if we moved her right.
Can Crawford be the legit #1 guy in 5 division? I don't see it happening, but he could probably be among the top 5, top 10 in 4 of them..

It's a big jump from WW to MW. Especially if you started as a LW. That's 25 pounds increase which is a lot to deal with for any fighter.
I can see him possibly going to 154 but 160 will be too much.

Horn's main problem is he's a sht boxer, his fight versus Corcoran was horrendous.
Bud so called smaller but had a reach advantage over Horn and reach is the best physical advantage you can get in boxing.
Bud's OK for WW but he would struggle at 154 facing guys like Hurd or Lara who are bigger, longer and better than Horn.
If 154 is full of Brundage or Sadam Ali champion he will be fine.
He also can win a 160 title versus Daniel Geale, Lemieux type of champions, but I wouldn't imagine beat a solid 160 champ like GGG or Jacobs.

Regardless, 160 is a huge jump for somebody that started off at 135. That was hardly done in the 80's when everyone was juiced up.

It would still be a few years away but I guess it depends on the middleweight landscape then and he'll have to be very selective in who he fights if he did make the move.
I do think it's a question of when not if he'll go to light middleweight. Not that he's anywhere near their class but if Mayweather and Pacquaio were big enough to do it so is Crawford.
Do you think Errol Spence could do it?
