I thought he'd previously said that the jump from 154 to 160 was the toughest.

Canelo picked the toughest fight he could at 160 outside of Golovkin. And that should be the end of it.

None of this "he has a smart team, they obviously knew what they were doing if they picked Jacobs" baloney.
There was a weight restriction put on Jacobs by Canelo's team. That wasn't accidental. Yeah they knew what they were doing. It may not have mattered but they did do it.

It's the same weight restriction that the IBF requires. The same one Jacobs skipped against Golovkin.

Hell, Jacobs skipped this one too. He paid the overlimit penalty instead.

So for sure it didn't matter.

And Jacobs ignored it just like he did against GGG.

Just like against GGG it wasnt illegal although clearly an attempt at a cheap ploy.

If you dont like the IBF rehydration clause or any contractual rehydration clause...then DONT FIGHT FOR IBF OR SIGN CONTRACT.

When you go against your word and try some last minute dirty tricks...leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths.

Glad Canelo won. At least Canelo didnt go 6-6 with Danny like Borat did LMFAO

GGG's performance slide started with Monroe or Wade, not Canelo or Jacobs. For Breadman to say otherwise makes him sound like a casual fan. And Breadman admits GGG is old and can't throw 70 power punches per round anymore, but then he talks about how he needs to land more power punches vs Canelo or Jacobs.

Well when you're old, and you can't throw as many power punches, then obviously you won't land as many. Age also slows your speed down, which makes it way harder to land at all, let alone land clean crisp shots that the opponent doesn't see because they have that extra split second while the punch is coming in to see it and ride with it. Why do people think Canelo was able to ride with so many of GGG's punches, more than anyone else's? Because they came in in slow motion so Canelo could react easily.

He's old. Vs Brook, BHop said GGG had nothing on his punches. Stop giving Canelo and Jacobs credit for making GGG look worse than before, he was already worse than before before they got in the ring with him, in fact that is THE WHOLE REASON they got in the ring with him when they did. Don't be a casual fan like Breadman.

What Danny did with weight was not a dirty trick on Canelo. The terms were laid out in the contract and he followed the contract. There is no second day weigh in for unification fights in the IBF. That was added by Canelo's team to the contract obviously for a reason. The reason being that Canelo's team were nervous about fighting Danny under the existing rules. Yeah they knew what they were doing and they will continue to do it if they can get away with it untill the division weight limit rules don't mean anything anymore. Canelo did it when he fought as a JM above the JM limit because he was a bit big for JM. Now he is one of the smaller Middleweights so he will try and restrict the bigger guys if he feels they pose a legitimate threat and there is no real public backlash. That's where this is headed. Of course you go along with it because it's more important to you that Canelo wins than boxng keeping some semblance of integrity.

Jacobs didn't adhere to the weight limit so what are you complaining about?

The part about boxing matches being like a court room was first class. Breadman just delivers.

"Canelo didn’t beat Danny up. He just outboxed him going forward for the most part. Canelo is becoming a ring master. He’s reaching a new level that very few hit. "

"Canelo is the truth in a boxing ring. He knows how to win a top level fight without going full blast"

"Only master boxers can do that."....

I hear ya! But these CLOWNS still imagine Jose Cotto hurting Canelo and Floyd putting on a BOXING clinic.

That\s ok more $$$$$$ for me!!!!
