  • Will Adonis Stevenson fight the winner of ward/kov to settle undisputed 175 champ

stevenson is slept on but he is the best one shot artist in the game today IMO

we have great offensive fighters, guys with very good technque and timing(kov, chocolatito, GGG) but as far as raw power and snap Adonis and maybe wilder are the top dawgs

Stevenson doesnt get much love but Ward or Kov cant call themselves the light heavyweight champion of the world without the scalp of the lineal/wbc champion

    killa K on stevenson

He is not the damn Lineal champ. Fight someone with a pulse before calling himself that. He won't fight Hopkins, Ward, Kovalev, Beterbiev need i say more. This guy needs to step up and fight.

Chad Dawson had two losses and was the 175 champion when he beat him , Tony Bellew went on to become a champion, was the first to stop former titlist Clous, Fonfara has been a perennial contenders for sometime. Dude isnt fight all scrubs

He beat the man who beat the man and has held the wbc title since 2013. Defended 7 times

IMO if they dont fight him, their claim to the title is weak. Stevenson is just as dangerous as Kov with a totally different skill set and talents

well...its not like their have been a bunch of super fights going on....could say the same for majority of the top fighters today.

the best fighting the best is becoming a thing of the past

Irrespective of the outcome of Ward/Kovalev, imo Adonis won't fight either of them.. The dude is at the tail end of his career, he is taking it easy the last few yrs.. When a fellow Canadian can't get a crack at Adonis's titles, I doubt Ward/Kovalev will ever get a call.. THat said, Adonis punches like a mule.. But is not known to have a great chin which can stand Kovalev's power either.. Ward on the other hand would frustrate Stevenson all night & tag him when he closes distance... Kovalev by KO & Ward by a UD if Stevenson were to face them.. You don't need to risk that title, this late in your career.. The lineal title is a load of BS too, everyone knows Kovalev is the consensus LHW champ & the other guy is just a titlist..

none of them have great chins.....IJS...not glass nor granite....Kov hasnt faced many big punchers, nor anyone with the explosiveness or speed of AS...also he is a lefty with a rocket left. Kov often backs way instead of pivot to get out of range and thats a no no vs a fighter whose best shots are straight shots

Kov doesnt move his head or have much upperbody movement but he does parry and block well..his defense is decent but not impregnable

for real for real, the only time I hear people try to dilute the importance of lineal titles(the old school way of how you need to beat the man to be the man) is when a fighter they like doesnt hold the lineal title but has a claim because they hold other belts.......the only way to know who the best is if they fight and they havent

Kov is a unified titlist...Stevenson is the wbc/lineal champion of the world. I

consensus means everyone, and everyone does not agree he is the champion also their is dispute because look at who Kov beat for his belts ...Hopkins and Nathan Cleverly....Cleverly lost his last fight to Fonfara, who Stevenson beat and Stevenson beat Dawson who won the lineal title from Hopkins.

I cant call Kov the champ until he beats Superman, same goes for ward

Stevenson obviously has no interest in fighting any of the top fighters. He's also almost 40. He's gonna take 2-3 easy paydays and retire.
