  • Do you think Ortiz will get more than $5 mil in the Deontay rematch?

If Hearn is able to offer Luis $7 million, why can't team Wilder?
Which is composed of Haymon, Espinoza, Finkel and another co-manager.

Wilder-Breazeale got worse numbers than both Stiverne fights. Wilder is going to single handed put Showtime out of boxing with his ridiculous purse demands.

I think they call it long-term investing.
      Some call it gambling.
Showtime willing to throw the dice and bet truckloads of cash,
then recoup loses in the DAZN venture.
Don't know what the deal is within these 3 stooges (Finkel, Espinoza, Haymon.)
Finkel probably suggested some kind of a promissory note or something.
Use Showtime funds, then pay it back after the Joshua fight.

The main goal is to show Wilder's independence as long as it takes.
      Whatever that means.

PBC fanboys don't yell lowball when it comes to Haymon's offers, if you've noticed. It's only when it came from the other side of the street. They hate people who can run businesses better, if you've noticed.

          Yeah, I have noticed.

Theoretically it should be possible. Showtime have a $60m annual budget, and apart from Wilder - Breazeale, it doesn't seem like they have spent big so far this year. There should be enough money left by the time Wilder fights Ortiz to give both big purses.

We'll soon see if Ortiz's team made a huge mistake in turning down the AJ fight.

I think Ortiz is being used as a pawn by camp Wilder in the AJ negotiation chessmatch.
Team Ortiz is probably crossing their fingers in frantic mode.
Because if the Wilder rematch doesn't happen for them, they're screwed.
Millions of dollars went down the drain because of greed.

Ortiz manager was dumb for turning down 7m like thats quadruple more than Ortiz can make anywhere else. Ortiz either has little say or didn't want the fight. For I feel AJ is a better fight for Ortiz style wise purse wise ect
