Ron Lyle was both fortunate and unfortunate to have started his boxing career during the golden age of the Heavyweight division. Fortunate because many fans most remember him for his exciting and intense slugfest with George Foreman. Unfortunate because while he was a deadly puncher and not a boxer to take lightly, he lacked the skill sets to be able to ever win a world title during the 1970s. He was #1 Contender against Muhammad Ali for his world titles in 1975 and gave him a tough fight but he still has never won a single title.
With today's Heavyweight division still lacking in competition(with AJ and Wilder being the only two heavyweights who can be competitive against Ron Lyle), do you think Lyle would have been a World Heavyweight Champion if he were to fight in today's era?
