  • Eddie Hearn: Wilder vs Breazeale sold only 6000 tickets

I just saw Eddie's interview on TBV and he claims Wilder vs Breazeale only sold 6000 tickets and the total crowd was about 8000. He also claimed the upper tier of the arena was closed and there were unoccupied seats everywhere, lol

I doubt Wilder would get 60/40 if Josh's profile keeps growing in the US, while he continues perform woefully with ticket sales. He's the meme king a la circus king but it has not translated to ticket sales. Absolutely sad. Just take the fight now because the bigger Josh gets across the pond, the smaller the split. Wilder can't bigger than he's right now with earning potential.

Also, where did Showtime get the $10million to pay him for the fight? That also looks questionable now and I honestly doubt he made $4million for that fight

Actually it sold 7,129 tickets. Hearn is lying. I have the info from the NYSAC. They did lose a ton of money on this card though. Showtime won't last much longer in boxing.

That's just made up propaganda to discredit Showtime. Everyone knows, that there were at least 13,000 people in attendance that night. Eddie doesn't know the exact number of tickets sold nor does he knows how much revenue the bout generated at the live gate.

The rest might have been given away as free tickets. Then again, Hearn is a car oil salesman, lol.

Regardless, 6000 is closer to 7,129 than the 13,000 Wildettes are claiming it sold.

Can you please post the NYSAC link?

There is no link. You have to contact the NYSAC and if you're lucky they will get back to you.
