      I didn't mean to say that America has no identity, I just wanted to know more specifically about what it means to assimilate. Like do you mean learn English or what?

        I think what he means by assimilate, is to accept western ideals and culture, to become a proud American.
        For instance if you are a Muslim who migrates to the USA and still believes peoples arms should be cut off if they steal then you do not belong here, you are not assimilating.

                    ive had my share. Went through different phases now that I look back on it. Had yellow fever for a couple years, had a thing for half black/half white girls for a time too.
