The only reason Floyd got his way aside from A side and Oscar wanting Floyd to lose so bad was because Floyd was a champ in TWO Divisions. Floyd had the 147 WBC and the 154 Super WBA.

If Floyd had never fought at 154 it would be a case to meet at a catchweight from 150-152 in favor of Mayweather. The problem is that Floyd didn’t dare at 154 when Team Canelo had no choice Nd was pressured by Oscar to take it no matter what. Canelo said himself that he would never be forced to do that again. Being forced wasn’t by Floyd, it was by Oscar’s demand.

I will find the video of Canelo saying that, but here’s a video of Floyd Sr., also admitting that making 150 as a Junior Middleweight will take 100%, but says 152 is more in favor to the Junior Middleweight. Again, Canelo was already having trouble making 154 with Cintron, Mosley and Lopez. TMT did their homework and knew about Canelo anyways since the Mexican held the WBC 154 from 2011-2013 while Floyd was coasting 2 Divisions.

Because Floyd never attempted Canelo’s 155 WBC Middleweight strap proves he ducked the opportunity to add Lineal. Floyd didn’t even bother to give Cotto a rematch and take the 160 Lineal as well.

Just stop. You’re turning yourself into a pretzel. And for what????

Floyd also ducked both Winky Wright (who he called out) and Sergio Martinez (who offered to come down to 150). He was never a true champion at 154. At all other weights he never fought an elite at their best. His PR team hyped his flat-footed opponents as top tier opponents out of one side of their mouths, while calling them C-rate out the other side of their mouths. Biggest snake oil salesman who ever stepped inside the ring.

A bit was Larry Merchant to blame. It could be that Floyd may have had some better late fights on HBO. The Showtime fights starting with Guerrero and Berto and maybe even Chinox2 were stupid fights all when BHop was fighting Shumenov and Kovalev at 48 years old. Its funny because Cotto took Floyd’s opportunity with Martinez as you said. Even Hauser said Floyd was afraid of Paul Williams, another Southie. Zan Judah was ages ago, and smaller

Lol. Showtime didn’t have Wilder beating Fury. Steve Farhood’s scorecard for Wilder was the same ******ed scores by Showtime’s poster boy deal for Mayweather Jr. Canelo easily sealed 4 rounds against Floyd, chasing him each round after the 7th. There’s a reason why Floyd chose 152 and never attempted a rematch for either Cotto or Canelo at any Middleweight mínimum to the limit.
