A lot of games rival it in terms of action.

Games are usually all action unless they're purposely slow paced.

There really isn't a lot of those action backed Hack and slash games anymore it's a dying genre.
It used to be big back in the day but even God of War is moving away from it and it looks like a completely different game now

It's an outdated gameplay but Devil may cry and Ninja Gaiden black were ATG games IMO
And God of War was great on the PS2

Ummmm God of War 5? It's entire make up is based on Norse Mythology, with the camera angle of the Last of Us.
It's hyped up heavily.

I think Choking the chicken rivals GOW... u can go at ur own pace... fast or slow... soft or hard... and as far as action... it might take awhile but nothing compares to the ending...
