or they could just do a WCW style World War thing, setup up multiple rings so we have the option to watch the fight of our choice...just in case May-Pac 2 sucks again

The implication is that there is a massive public demand for Ward/Kovalev rematch. I'm sure both camps really want it, and the small fan base that each fighter has may demand it. But this would tank miserably as a PPV.
Why the hell would either team Mayweather or team pacquiao want this?
May/PAC was a snooze fest, but the rematch will still sell +$2 million.

They gain absolutely nothing from this boring **** being hitched to their card

Andre Ward is basically Winky Wright: risk-free style that can't draw flies to ****
If he wasn't a religious nut, he could at least cultivate an entertaining sideshow persona. He's marketing diarrhea

        1x Ward/Kov PPV + 1x Mayweather/Pac PPV, will generate more total revenue than 1x PPV of Ward/Kov AND Mayweather/Pac.

A huge, huge amount of people who would buy one PPV, will buy the other. You're not going to draw in enough new fans to one mega PPV, to offset what you lose by not splitting into two.

Increasing the cost of the one mega PPV is feasible to a point, but there just isn't enough room to put $ on top of already insane PPV prices, without turning people away. Promoters and networks have all but maxed out what people are willing to pay.

          Like.

Hell, turn it into an actual 60 man, three ring battle royal! Fighters could take turns beating Amir Khan into mush.

You just know Floyd would hide under the ring and sucker punch the last guy to steal the win. And it would be hilarious.
