      The Patterson vs Harris fight was 1958; a few months after Robinson's two life and death battles with Carmen Basilio. No sane individual who had watched those fights would have believed that Robinson would be ready to jump two weight divisions to fight prime Patterson!

      Again, crazy suggestion. Cus was right about the suicide comment......

        Yeah, Ray was getting into his late 30s by that point and was coming to the end of his MW title days, he would have gotten beaten badly by prime Patterson.

        However I actually give prime or near prime Ray a live chance of beating some good/great 175lbers. And maybe even some smaller or less quality HWs. Maybe. The man was really that good, reading Ray Corsos posts about him being simply too great for most fighters to beat made me go back and watch some video and he is without a doubt the closest thing to a perfect fighting machine ive ever seen.
