You're mainly right, but the war is now over since almost 2 years now. A year and a half ago, they both signed a Co-Promotion deal in order to present bigger event. It was a little surprise when it happened but people from montreal won't complain! More promoters means more money = More exciting fight. And since Bute and most of GYM' fighters are with Al Haymon, they don't $truggle bringing big fight$$$ anymore.

The biggest surprise about this fight is that it is a collaboration between GYM and INTERBOX. Those two promoters have been at war for decades, going way back to when Eric Lucas was fighting for Yvon Michel who split from Interbox to form GYM. Most of their business has been UFC related the past few years.
