Once & for all, what is the best TV show of the last 5years??

I think it realistitically is out of these four. Some might say others like House of cards & Sherlock belong here but they arent "universally accepted" as being amongst the GOAT tv shows.

** I know the Wire is not in the last 5years but it always pops up in the greatest of all time debates.

Heard great things about True Detective, but isn't it only in the 2nd season?

Little premature to compare it to the others. I mean the show could be one of the greatest ever or the next seasons could suck and drag the show down. Like what happened to Dexter.

Its different to the others.

The first season is more like an 8 hour film, it doesnt lead on to the next season (I dont think)...

I think GoT for 3 seasons was the best of the last five yrs for me. After that its still good, but its struggling due to so many new plotlines and characters imo. I think the endgame will be spectacular, if they have the budget to pull it off. Since you put the Wire in there I gotta go with that, even if the 5th season let the series down a bit. Its exactly the kind of series I like.

Breaking Bad was awesome too. Easily the most consistent.
