Duran's known for having one of the best chins in boxing history and seeing him get sparked by one shot even if it's by Hearns is shocking for sure. Nobody else has done that to him, not even when he was ancient fighting at the higher weights.

duran had just gone the distance with hagler and hearns was coming off three decision wins and people were questioning his power at 54 not knowing his right hand was injured. duran until after barkly has a great chin tommy just went right after him and his reach and confidence were to great for Roberto on that night

I wouldn't exactly say that. He was buckled on numerous occasions in that fight.

However, he showed he had a great chin, and to me that was surprising. That would be befitting of a thread where a good chin was a surprise.
