I know that this isn't the best place to ask but what the hell. I have an acute injury to my spinal cord that is effecting my rotator cuff. I've never broken anything, no ligaments torn, or surgeries but it is the most painful thing I've ever experienced in my life. So, I went to the chiropractor today and got a few sessions done on my shoulder. The intensity has went down but the pain is still there which is normal. The thing is doc tells me that it could take 30 sessions to get completely healed and I'm freaking out. Even though the pain has went down after just a few sessions I can't go on with this pain that long. I'm wondering if you guys have had any injuries like this? How long did it take and did you ever get flare ups after it was healed? I know we all heal differently but I need some reassurance.

Anyone have shoulder pain or torn a rotator cuff?

Never had anything happen to my spine. Thank god.
But I have recently partially torn my rotor cuff. Hurts like a bitch. It is healing up though. I think I am ready for rehab exercises but I want to wait a little longer to make sure it is 100% healed before exercising.
Anyways, I agree with everyone else. Go see a real doctor. Spine injuries are scary as hell.

A doctor might be a good choice but all he is gonna tell me is to take these pills and mask it. From what I've read a lot of back pain just goes away after a while. Still I'm trying anything to fix the pain because I've never been hurt in my life and am freaking out about it.

I certainly do feel a difference after one day though. I'm trying to take all precautions though. I bought myself an ice pack, heat pack, and even got a belt to keep my back straight when lifting. I really think this neck injury came from bad posture.

Now knowing how to deal with doctors. I would say, if your pain is that much, be sure to tell them you want an MRI as well. Make sure you tell them straight up though. That way you can make sure there is no nerve damage either.
I'm no doctor, although I thought of becoming one, it seems like you may have a pinched nerve. That **** is painful. Luckily I never had one but a stinger is just short of a pinched nerve. If the nerve is stuck between something, then it can cause perpetual pain. Anti-inflammatory medicine will be prescribed for that though, before considering surgery.
