What's free? These licenses still cost money. Still have to buy the product. Still have to get the building. What's free?

Can you not see the irony of using the word parasitic in a thread about undeserved reparations. Free handouts are parasitic.

lol wtf? This quote is the exact problem. You don't even know the basic logic of my post.

Receiving money for ZERO work = Free money = Parastitic

They're crying about criminals getting shot by cops yet in Africa they burn you alive on the street if you steal a potato and you don't even get a trial. Their lives literally can't be better than it is now. They're enslaving themselves with the victim mindset. When you put the blame on others you free yourself from feeling guilty about your circumstances. It's literally 5 year old mentality.

She's saying we have proof they have been targeted for marijuana crimes so in return we need to right that wrong.

“Arresting people–particularly people of color–for cannabis is the crown jewel in the racist war on drugs and we must pluck it down,” she said. “We must expunge people’s records; we must get people out of prison.”

Oh you mean arresting people of color for breaking the law is the crown jewel in the racist war on drugs.

yep, she should win and this should be standard.....cuck conservatives who are now woke when they can make millions from cannabis deserve to get put in jail for their phony war on drugs, not make money now that the tide has turned on them.

Those comments just come across as a liberal dyke actress ( which she is ) who has no idea how the real world works and just pandering to people of colour in her state to get some votes

If marijuana is legalized in NY the $ isn’t going to be predominantly distributed to black people or black people that have a criminal record because of marijuana. the financial rewards will be to corporations and governments that will be able to now tax it

And while I don’t really have a issue with Natives receiving $ / land and preferred treatment from the government. The idea that in 2018 blacks need individual reparations is f.ucking stupid and coming from a rich white actress she comes
Across as out of touch . Paying $ to individual citizens won’t solve the issues leveling the playing field in all aspects of society will.

i don't know if you read what was posted. i don't agree with everything said, but the idea that some minority groups should be included in a space that's quickly being filled with mid level, older, white investors is something with which i'm fine. it's a wierd dynamic for people in the cannabis space, minorities are almost like an asset to have on your team. they bring more to the table than just being black obviously, the black investors, but it's a consideration that the states are making, that minorities should be included because they were the main victims of the war on drugs.

i'm fine with it being considered, honestly. it will improve the industry to not have just old white dude's running it, and it's working towawrd righting about 100 years, and later the "war on drugs" which targeted black people the most.

if you have some time, i'd look at the creation of the "war on drugs" from the nixon era, and what he wanted to do to the image of the black voting block. really. it's worth a look.

the idea is that you want to have black investors included in the space, and have an influence on it. that's the idea in the space, anyway. not sure hwo this woman is and specifically what she wants, but nobody in the space who is taken seriously wants black people to "take a cut"

they'll be in positions of investment, which will ideally promote an inclusive industry.
