I wouldn't be surprised if the WSJ jumped the gun on this story...

This really sounds like they're grabbing here at air...I think before anyone gets to excited they should wait and see if in fact there IS any investigation because all the WSJ said is they may be exploring the idea. Nothing really to see here folks.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan was in the early stages of the probe exploring whether big-money donors gave money to the committee in the hope of access to -- or influence within -- the administration or policy concessions.

In a statement, the inaugural committee said it was "not aware of any pending investigations and has not been contacted by any prosecutors. We simply have no evidence the investigation exists."

The committee said its finances "were fully audited internally and independently and are fully accounted. Moreover, the inauguration's accounting was provided both to the Federal Election Commission and the IRS in compliance with all laws and regulations. These were funds raised from private individuals and were then spent in accordance with the law and the expectations of the donors."

She was the head organizer, for her services she was paid 26 MILLION dollars. Yeah, nothing shady going on here.

She also happened to set up a shell company right before being paid.

she wasn't paid 25 million....

she got 1.6 mill and the rest went to that firm etc for payments to other employees etc

President Trump’s inaugural committee was ordered on Monday to turn over documents about its donors, finances and activities to federal prosecutors in Manhattan, according to two people familiar with their investigation into the committee’s activities.

A lawyer working with the inaugural committee received a subpoena on Monday evening seeking documents related to all of the committee’s donors and event attendees; any benefits handed out, including tickets and photo opportunities with the president; federal disclosure filings; vendors; contracts; and more, one of the people said.

Prosecutors also showed interest in whether any foreigners illegally donated to the committee, as well as whether committee staff knew that such donations were illegal, asking for documents laying out legal requirements for donations. Federal law prohibits foreign contributions to federal campaigns, political action committees and inaugural funds
