Breakbeat's point was about religious groups. The EDL are irrelevant here as you were just trying to show that other sections of society like to cause a fuss as well. Why not bring up the toffs who protested against the banning of fox hunting, or students taking to the streets to show their opposition to top up fees?

There have been several protests against terror laws over the past few years. Here is an example: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4499849.stm

Muslim groups have also taken to the street to call for sharia law to be introduced in the UK and demonstrations have taken place at the homecomings of British troops.

the leaders of the protests against terror laws make valid points they where not just there for the sake of it causing noise.

Dr Siddiqui said the Muslim community could not "afford to be silent in the face of the 'war on terror' and its domestic and international manifestations - we must stand together with strength and confidence to dispel the myths about Islam and the Muslim community".

Another organiser, Dr Imran Waheed, said people were angry about control orders placed on suspects and the detention of people without trial in Guantanamo Bay.

"We are speaking out about the atmosphere which is being generated in our community," he said.

"We believe our community is making a contribution to the wider society.

"We feel that this draconian implementation of the war on terror is damaging relations between Muslims and others," Dr Waheed added.

All valid points and 100% deserving of peaceful protest.

one small RADICAL Muslim group did protest for sharia law this group has little to no backing from the Muslim community the same group Islam4UK who protested at Wootton Bassett there leader no longer has a mosque to preach in and they are shunned by the muslim comunity.

Look, I am not saying all Muslims are intolerant towards Britain and it's people. I am merely pointing out that it is almost exclusively groups from the Muslim faith, rather than other religions, who seem to cause much of the debate in modern Britain. As you said, these are radical groups who are often denounced by the wider Muslim community, but they are Muslim all the same.
